More Medals Targeted at London 2012
Singapore National Olympic Council is introducing another new initiative, Olympic Pathway Programme (OPP) to provide focused support for Singapore's top athletes at the 2012 London Olympics. This program will replace the current Project 0812.

Athletes who have the potential to win medals at the coming Games, or who show potential for significant achievement at the Games, will be considered for the Programme.

The first batch of athletes to be considered for the programme are our female paddlers Feng Tianwei, Wang Yue Gu, Sun Bei Bei and Yu Meng Yu. Also, swimmer Tao Li and shooter Jasmine Ser have been chosen to participate in this prestigious programme. World No. 10, Li Jiawei, is likely to be part of it next year when she join back the team.

More athletes may be added to the programme when they meet the eligibility criteria.

The OPP Steering Committee will be headed by Mr Teo Ser Luck, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Transport.
