Euro-Asia Cup - Gao Ning to Represent Asia Against Europe
Gao Ning, Singapore's Top Male Paddler is the new addition to the already mighty Asian Team against Europe in the forthcoming Euro Asia ALL Star Event.

World's number 1, Olympic silver medalist in singles and World's champion, WANG Hao will lead the Asian team in Istanbul on November 10th and 11th. The Chinese star will be at the top of the list that includes the names of the best ranked Korean, Taipei's and Singapore's players as well as Hong Kong's star.

The team coach Chan Kong Wah from Hong Kong will have new line up compared to the first step in the Beijing on August 25th -26th. Instead of Ma Lin and Ma Long, China will have only one representative, nevertheless the top one - Wang Hao.

On the list is Joo See Yuk of Korea who already played in China, beat Swede Jorgen Persson and lost against German Dimitrij Ovtcharov. Also Chuan Chih Yuan of Taipei is a familiar Euro Asia All Star face. Ranked number 17 in the World lost against Dane Michael Maze beat Persson in Beijing in August.

The list of the players that already felt the heat on the Event stops there. The last two names belong to newcomers. The former Chinese player, now member of Hong Kong's team Li Ching, Olympic silver medalist in doubles from Athens, will have premiere in Istanbul. Gao Ning of Singapore will join him. He reached the quarterfinal of the Doubles Event in Yokohama this year.

Europe will also be representing with the strongest names at the Old Continent. Europe's no 1 Timo Boll of Germany will lead the top guns at his premiere at the Event. Newly crowned European Champion Michael Maze of Denmark will be part of the team for the second time, as well as a new World Cup champion Belarus Vladimir Samsonov. Another World Cup participant Greek's Kalinikos Kreanga will join the team once again, whilst European vice champion Werner Schlager of Austria will have premiere. Gencay Menge received wild card as a host nation representative. Turkish player will play two exhibition matches.

Coach Richard Prause will be with Timo Boll and he will help Michael Maze, Aleksandr Petkevich with Vladimir Samsonov, Konstantinos Vatsaklis with Kalinikos Kreanga and Ferenc Karsai with Werner Schlager.

Turkey's city Istanbul already staged the unforgettable presentation of the Event this summer on the closed Bosphorus Bridge, and the hosts once again prepares great spectacle for the crème de la crème of World's table tennis.

In first step in Beijing at Euro-Asia All Stars Series Europe lost 6:4 (on aggregate).
