SEA Games - Sun Beibei/Yu Mengyu Retained Women's Doubles Title
Singapore Sun Beibei/Yu Mengyu, the defending champions in the Women's Doubles Event, defeated colleagues Feng Tianwei/Wang Yuegu to capture Gold, retaining their title as the best doubles partner in South East Asia since 2007.

Although both Sun and Yu are ranked lower than Feng and Wang in their individual ranking, it is the perfect unison that brought about the Gold for Sun and Yu. In the 1st set, Sun Beibei/Yu Mengyu appeared to be a little nervous, making many unforced error. They lost quickly 11-3. But their tacit cooperation allowed them to come back, taking 3 matches at one go, thus clinching the title.
