ITTF World Junior Table Tennis Championships - Guo Yi Teng to represent Singapore!
18 years old Guo Yi Teng has been nominated to participate in the ITTF World Junior Table Tennis Championships 2008. Guo Yi Teng has participated in many Pro Tours this year and has earned himself a place in the Junior Boys' Event. Similarly, National Training Team paddler, Sim Kai Xin Zena, has been nominated to be the reserve for the Junior Girls' Event.

Guo has performed well in the 3 Pro Tours he participate this year. He finished off in the Top 16 in the U21 Event for both the Qatar and Korea Open. Most recently, in the U21 Event, he managed to pass through the qualifying group stage, and upset England's Drinkhall Paul to get into the Top 8 Position on home ground.

Not to be outdone, Zena has also done remarkably well in the Junior Circuit. In the Bahrain Junior Open, Zena achieved a 4th position, beating 2 players from Romania. In the recent Indian and China Junior Open, Zena has also got into the Round of 16 before losing to her more experienced opponents.
