ITTF Pro Tour Korea Open - Tianwei Justify Top Seeded Position
Feng Tianwei justified her exalted position in the draw by winning the Women’s Singles crown at the KAL Cup Korean Open. In the final of the Women's Singles Match, Feng Tianwei completed the job with ruthless efficiency. She dominated matters from start to finish, succeeding in four straight games against Hong Kong’s Jiang Huajun. Tianwei won 11-2, 11-8, 11-8, 11-9.

In the Semi-Finals, Feng Tianwei prevailed in the all Singaporean duel by beating Sun Bei Bei in a close seven games encounter. It was a great performance by Feng Tianwei, but for Sun Bei Bei, she has something to celebrate about as well. Not only has she pocket the Bronze Medal in the Singles event, she defeated higher ranking counterparts along the way in the likes of Wang Yue Gu and Hong Kong's Tie Yana. China's Shen Dandan suffered under her bat as well.

Yang Zi had a rather good outing as well. Pairing up with Tokic Bojan for the 1st time, they managed to qualify for the main draw. He did well in the Singles event as well. However, he found not solution to the fast attacking skills of the former Olympic Champion, Korea Republic's Ryu Seung Min.

Meanwhile in the Women's Doubles, the ladies maintained their form, with both Feng Tianwei/Wang Yuegu and Sun Bei Bei/Yu Meng Yu reaching the Quarter Finals. However, they found Hong Kong and Japan too strong and faltered against them respectively.

The team will be heading to China for training after the competition.
