ITTF Cadet Challenge 2008 - Pang Xue Jie and Isabelle Li will represent Asia in the Cadets' Challenge.
The ITTF Cadet Challenge is the Junior version of the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals, specially catered to those aged U15. However, the Cadet Challenge only comprises of a Team Event. Each year, each continent will be sending a Team which consists of players who have performed well in the ITTF Junior Circuit Cadet Events.

Asia will be sending 2 Cadet Teams led by Team Manager Ms. Liu Yi from China, and they will be taking on 7 oher teams, which includes of teams from 5 other continents, as well as Japan and host country Sweden.

The Asia Boys' Team will represented by Singapore's Pang Xue Jie, Hong Kong's Chiu Chung Hei and Korea's Shin In Cheol and Kim Dong Hyun. Each paddler has outstanding achievements in the Junior Circuit this year. In the Cadet Boys' Singles Event, Pang and Shin are the Bronze Medalist in the Indian Junior Open and Sweden Junior Open respectively. Chiu is the Bronze Medalist in the Brahain Junior Open and French Junior Open, while Kim is the Silver Medalist in the Hungarian Junior Open. The Team Coach will be Kim In Soon also from Korea.

The Asia Girls' Team will be represented by Singpore's Li Siyun Isabelle, Hong Kong's Li Ching Wan and Lam Shermaine Joey and Korea's Kang Ha Neul. Similarly, these girls have also achieved fantastic results this year. Isabelle has recently been crowned the Champion at the Commonwealth Youth Games. Hong Kong's Guan Jian Hua will the Team Coach for the Girls' Team.
