Volkswagen Women's World Cup - Results
China’s Wang Nan, the number two seed, won the Women’s Singles crown at the Volkswagen Women’s World Cup in Chengdu on Sunday 30th September 2007 beating the number one seed, her compatriot, Zhang Yining in the final.

Wang Nan, in her superb form, back to her best, she won 11-5, 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-8.

ITTF Pro Tour CHINESE TAIPEI Open - Li JIa Wei Crowned Women's Singles Champion
Singapore Li Jia Wei justified her number one seeded position in the Wome's Singles event at the Chinese Taipei Open when she emerged as the champion on Sunday 26th June 2007.

The disappointments of earlier in the year, when she had stumbled before reaching her allotted seeded place in the draw, were resigned to history as she beat compatriot Feng Tanwei in six games at the final hurdle.

Li Jia Wei won 8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-7, 9-11, 11-5.

Fifth Title
It was for Li Jia Wei her fifth Women's Singles title on the ITTF Pro Tour, the previous successes being at the United States Open in Chicago in 2004 and in Fort Lauderdale on year later whilst in 2005 she succeeded at the Slovenian Open in Velenje and more recently at the Eurosib Russian Open in St Petersburg in November 2006.

Volkswagen Women's World Cup
The final list of players who will participate to the Volkswagen Women's World Cup in Chengdu, China (28th-30th September 2007)has now been confirmed.Undoubtedly the table tennis world is looking forward impatiently to see how the youngest on duty, Romania's Daniela Dodean and Japan's Ai Fukuhara, will compete and how the "rest of the world" will prevent the Chinese players once again emerging victorious on home soil as eyes focus on the city of Chengdu.
